A brutal folk remedy for fighting colds. It is especially severe directly to the disease: such cider has diaphoretic, warming and antimicrobial + antiviral properties.
Due to its fiery pungency, you need to drink it extremely carefully, especially for those who have stomach problems. The optimal use, in our opinion, is to dilute a tablespoon of this cider in two glasses of warm water.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chopped ginger root
- 1/2 cup chopped horseradish
- 1 medium onion (also chopped)
- 10 cloves of garlic
- zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp. rosemary
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- the brave ones can add jalapeno pepper
- 2 – 3 cups natural apple cider vinegar
- jar with screw cap
- 1 cup honey
Preparation:
- Crush the garlic and leave it in the air for 15 minutes – this is necessary so that the alliin in it turns into allicin, because it is the latter that helps fight the virus.
- Chop all the roots (be prepared mentally, cutting horseradish and onions is a real pleasure), grate the lemon zest and squeeze the juice out of it.
- Place all the ingredients in a one and a half liter jar: ginger, horseradish, onion, garlic, lemon, rosemary, turmeric and cayenne pepper.
- Pour vinegar under the lid, cover the top with parchment and screw the lid on top of it.
- Put it away for a month.
- After a month, strain the vinegar, thoroughly squeezing out the herbs and roots.
- Take a whisk and stir a quarter cup of honey into the vinegar. Taste (gently), if necessary, add more honey until you achieve the sweetness you like.
Taking into account the fact that this is a more folk recipe, there is no single strict set of ingredients, and you can vary them as you wish. The base of the cider is garlic, onion, ginger and horseradish. The rest is up to you.
Take care of yourself and don’t get sick.
